FINEXITY Emerging Artists on Tour: Meet talented artists up close
When thinking of art as an investment, many investors probably initially think of blue chip artists such as Andy Warhol, Banksy or old masters. But young painters, sculptors and graphic artists in particular can have a lot of potential returns — and also impress with groundbreaking art. Get to know seven talented artists who are still going “on tour” in 2024, find out the exhibition dates, and how you can invest in their works.
Why investors focus on emerging artists
In recent years, it has been shown that aspiring artists — sometimes thanks to social media — can quickly gain popularity. Many art experts agree that their role on the market has drastically changed as a result. But what actually determines the success of an aspiring artist in the competitive art industry? An emerging artist is usually at the beginning of his career and can achieve a leading status through recognition of his unique artistic style. In this way, a convincing portfolio and participation in art events are essential. Because the road to recognition is often long and requires both strategic planning and creative stamina. Continuous self-marketing and networking within the art world are of great importance. The exhibition of his works in a gallery is usually an important milestone in the career of a young artist.
FINEXITY has selected seven promising talents with a total of 46 works and an Emerging Artist Portfolio put together. Only aspiring artists were selected who regularly have exhibitions, are represented in galleries and have left a lasting impression in the industry. These emerging artists, whose work will be exhibited in 2024, are:
Cosimo Casoni
Born in 1990, the Italian lives and works between Tuscany and Milan. His work is characterized by an intensive examination of color, form and space and often reflect on personal and social issues. Casoni is known for his creative and diverse approach to art, often using various media and techniques and combining elements of painting, sculpture and installation.
Art lovers who want to discover Cosimo Casoni's work can do so at the Uhlig Gallery, Leipzig, the NBB Gallery, Berlin, or at the Can Art Fair, Ibiza in June 2024.
Thomas Geyer & Christoph Rode
The two German artists Thomas Geyer & Christoph Rode, also represented at the Uhlig Gallery, Leipzig, are known for their contributions to modern art, particularly in the areas of painting, sculpture and installation. Some of her works are also exhibited together. For example, as part of the Breaking Boundaries | International Art Show — Houston/Texas, USA (August 2024), where they open up a fascinating dialogue about the complexity of human existence and the diverse relationships between people, nature and society.
Susanne Bonowicz & Nico Sawatzki
Two more German Emerging Artists will present their works at the end of August 2024 at the Enter Art Fair, Copenhagen, Denmark: Susanne Bonowicz and Nico Sawatzki. Die Paintings by the woman born in 1985 show primarily urban experiences, experiences and memories in neon colors and a composition of architectural forms and lines. Nico Sawatzki is also interested in urban art, but in recent years has also discovered natural landscapes that are diffusely represented by layers of spray paint and acrylic glazes. His work is available in numerous galleries and on the KIAF Art Fair, Seoul, Korea (September 2024) to see.
Tomislav Topic
Born in Hanover and in Berlin in 1985, the artist is just as at home in painting, drawing and installation as in wall paintings. His work is heavily influenced by urban art, graffiti and comic culture, which is why it reminds many art lovers of Jackson Pollock. Tomislav Topic often uses strong colors, dynamic compositions, and a mix of figuration and abstraction. The Emerging Artist has already participated in numerous exhibitions and projects, both in Europe and internationally. His works have already been shown in galleries and at art festivals such as in Brussels or Amsterdam in 2024, and he has created several large murals in various cities.
Tobias Stutz
Tobias Stutz was born in 1982 and lives in Bonn. The special thing about his mostly large-format oil paintings is that they do not show any people. Instead, the emerging artist focuses on Bauhaus-style buildings and modern architecture. His work was already on the AAF Berlin can be seen and is exhibited at the RODLER GSCHWENTER GALLERY, Galerie Augarde and Uhlig Gallery, among others.
Art as a “remarkable” addition to the portfolio
Whether blue-chip art or emerging artists: Incorporating art into a balanced and diversified portfolio is in principle a sensible strategy for asset allocation. This is because the art market shows a low correlation with many other asset classes, which offers stability, particularly in times of economic turbulence, and may be able to balance the overall portfolio.
By giving aspiring artists who are gaining a foothold in the world of contemporary art, FINEXITY gives art enthusiasts and investors the opportunity to invest in talent with a corresponding potential for increasing value. Works by these artists are still affordable even for private investors. But FINEXITY offers with the Emerging Artist Portfolio an efficient opportunity to enter the lucrative market of young artists across a wide range of fields.
